The Formal Methods Update Meeting 2017 will take place at IIT Mandi on the 17th and 18th of July 2017.

Accommodation

Due to a delay in guest house construction, we will not be able to put up all participants on campus as originally planned. However, the institute has a limited number of guest rooms both in Kamand (the campus of IIT Mandi) and in Mandi (the city). Hostel facilities on campus are also available. You will soon get an email asking you for your preference and whether you are willing to share a room. As there are good hotels in Mandi, and a shuttle bus will be provided, all participants will be well accommodated.

Directions

To reach IIT Mandi, you have to travel by road from Delhi, Chandigarh or Shimla (Kullu is not recommended). It is about 12 hours by bus or 11 hours by taxi from Delhi to Mandi. Campus residents usually take overnight buses, which take 10 hours, only. There is an HRTC bus leaving Delhi from Himachal Bhawan (3 minutes walking time from Mandi House metro station) at 7 pm. It takes 11 hours but one does not need to enter at ISBT with its usual hassle.

From the bus terminal at Mandi, the IIT shuttle bus stop is 3 minutes walking time away. The shuttle bus leaves from Mandav Guesthouse situated behind the bus terminal up the hill. It takes 40 minutes to the campus, taxis (approx Rs 600) take 30 minutes.
