There are AC buses at frequent intervals (30-60 minutes) between ISBT (Delhi) and Roorkee. The journey is 5-5:30 hrs and the cost is approximately Rs 200 per head.
Taxis can be hired at Palam airport, but a less expensive option might be to inform Dr Rajdeep Niyogi (contact information below) to arrange a taxi from Roorkee to pick up people at Palam airport (watch for an IIT Roorkee placard). The journey is approximately 4:30 hrs. It costs approximately Rs 2000 for an Indica (3 people sharing). A large vehicle (Qualis) can be arranged if there are more people travelling.
The meeting will be held in the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering, IIT Roorkee.
Participants will be accommodated in two guest houses on campus: Khosla International Guest House (KIH) and Nigam Guest House. The guest houses are virtually adjacent (max 100 metres apart) and are a 5 minute walk from the department.
The allocation of guest houses will be communicated direclty to registered participants in the week before the meeting.
